AHA Access Health Abbotsford manages 12 non-clinical support services to the Abbotsford Regional Hospital and Cancer Centre (ARHCC), located in Abbotsford, BC, Canada. Vercity provides the management service agreement (MSA) to the project, with a strong focus on contract compliance to ensure the facilities management provider delivers their contractual obligations.

Our services include general management, helpdesk operation, managing retail and catering, housekeeping, material management, utilities management and protection services.

The result

By adapting to the challenges in this ever-evolving sector, we ensure that operations continue uninterrupted. The concession end date for the contract is May 2038 and AHA Access Health Abbotsford will continue to provide these services for the duration of the 30-year long contract signed with ARHCC.
Project impact
The Abbotsford Regional Hospital project achieved LEED Gold Certification for achieving the required prerequisites and credits under the LEED Canada Rating System for New Construction and Major Renovations. Vercity’s established consultancy services continue to provide support to project teams internally, working closely with all parties to deliver a high-quality service to ARHCC.
Environmental Social Governance
Vercity was involved in the Abbotsford Breast Health Clinic initiative, which has been treating patients since September 2015. The clinic space was donated by the Project Company to the Health Authority for use by the Abbotsford Breast Health Centre. The idea for the clinic was triggered when the Project Company learned that the existing clinic was being relocated off site. As this program contributes significantly to the community, it was felt by ARHCC that it had to remain on site. ARHCC therefore bestowed a gift of 2000 sqft of space for use by the Breast Health Clinic. The gift has an equivalent value of $1.8 million in foregone revenue. To date, the facility has treated 17,600 patients.
