There has been regular discussion in the UK about PFI handback and expiry, and the transfer of assets from PFI projects into the future delivery model adopted. PFI projects are delivering a social value, providing key functions and services to their local communities, and it is important that continue uninterrupted at the expiry of the project. Identifying and understanding what is involved in delivery will be key to the successful transition from the PFI contract to the post-concession model.
