Richard Hoare joins Vercity as Group CEO

Richard Hoare joined Vercity as Group CEO on Monday 27th February.
He is a highly experienced and proven business leader; a Chartered Engineer, Fellow of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers, a qualified Barrister (non-practicing), with an MBA from Aston Business School.
Richard joins us following five years as Rail Division MD at Arcadis, one of the World’s leading companies delivering sustainable design, engineering, and consultancy solutions for natural and built assets.

For over 30 years he has been working with organisations developing, constructing, financing and operating major built assets. He has led many high-profile infrastructure projects, across multiple sectors, including rail, water, buildings, power generation, oil and gas, offshore wind, aviation and nuclear.
Richard has in-depth understanding across a range of areas including asset-owners, contractors, and project delivery organisations, as well as blue chip advisory firms. He spent five years as a Director in PwC’s Capital Projects & Infrastructure Practice. A sizeable portion of Richard’s career has been overseas, including six years in North America.
