Vercity are looking to recruit a Project / Site Manager to join our team at the Royal Blackburn Hospital. Reporting to our Head of Project Management, who has also held this role, the role is focused on working closely with the FM Contractor, your onsite Vercity colleagues and the project Board to ensure an efficient and effective execution of defects and variations. Your duties will include:
The Role:
- Lead delivery of construction and FM defects work on the hospital estate, ensuring time, cost, and quality targets are met
- Manage budgets in collaboration with finance, maintaining strong cost control and reporting
- Provide clear, timely updates to project boards and key stakeholders
- Act as Duty Holder’s representative on CDM projects, working closely with Principal Designer and Contractor
- Ensure full compliance with H&S, environmental, quality, and commercial standards
- Drive high performance by leading, coaching, and motivating project teams and contractors
- Embed best practice in project management and ensure HBMS-compliant documentation throughout
You:
- You will be an experienced Site / Project manager
- You will have trained within a building trade such as joinery, electrics, plumbing or similar
- Have experience of directing and managing contractors and subcontractors
- Able to show your experience of following contracts and / or scope of works
- Good attention to detail and record keeping
- Experience in a PFI/SPV and/or hospital environment would be an advantage
