Vercity Social Infrastructure (Canada) Ltd is seeking a CPA-qualified finance professional to join our team as an Associate Finance Manager.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a public practice background looking to move into a commercial, project-focused role supporting Canadian and international infrastructure (P3) projects.

Reporting to the Finance Director, you will play a key role in delivering financial management and reporting across a portfolio of infrastructure assets, working closely with stakeholders, investors, and senior leadership.  Effectively acting as the controller on key infrastructure projects focus on improving the communities they operate in, no day will be the same and you will gain commercial exposure on high profile, long-term, privately funded projects.

The Role:

  • Oversee full-cycle accounting, including debt, distributions, financial instruments, tax, AP/AR, and payroll
  • Prepare and present quarterly financial reports and annual budgets
  • Lead year-end audits and liaise with external auditors
  • Ensure compliance with tax requirements, financing covenants, and contractual obligations
  • Update financial models and support investor distribution analysis
  • Assist with treasury management, including cash flow and banking
  • Build and maintain relationships with investors, public sector clients, and advisors
  • Act as senior finance lead in the absence of the Finance Director or Finance Manager

You:

  • A capable, credible CPA qualified, practice-trained accountant ideally with 3 years PQE
  • Experience in an intermediate or managerial accounting/finance role, with demonstrated progression
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian GAAP and IFRS
  • Ability to engage with senior stakeholders; board-level exposure is an asset – and if that is the next step in your career – you’ll get it in this role
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Exposure to infrastructure, P3 projects, or asset management environments would be an advantage, but not essential

In Return:

  • Competitive compensation and benefits package
  • Fantastic career development opportunity in a growing business
  • Genuine ownership and autonomy with Board exposure and influence
  • Clear progression and exposure to senior decision‑making
  • Complex, interesting projects with long‑term impact
